    The IELTS General Training exam is jointly owned and organized by:

    1. *British Council*: A UK-based organization specializing in international cultural and educational opportunities.

    2. *IDP Education*: An Australian-based company providing international education services.

    3. *Cambridge Assessment English*: A part of the University of Cambridge, responsible for English language assessments.

    These three organizations work together to:

    • Develop and administer the IELTS General Training test

    • Set test dates and locations

    • Score and report test results

    • Provide test preparation materials and resources

    The IELTS General Training exam is designed for individuals who want to:

    • Migrate to an English-speaking country (e.g., Australia, Canada, New Zealand, UK)

    • Pursue secondary education or vocational training

    • Enhance their career opportunities

     

    Note that IELTS General Training is different from IELTS Academic, which is designed for higher education and professional purposes.
