    Visa Process:

    The United Kingdom offers a Student Visa (formerly Tier 4) that allows international students to study full-time at recognised UK institutions. This visa also provides work rights during and after studies through the Graduate Route.

    1. Types of UK Student Visas

    2. UK Student Visa Eligibility Requirements

    • A CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) issued by your UK university.

    • Proof of funds for tuition + 9 months of living expenses.

    • English proficiency test score (IELTS/PTE/TOEFL).

    • Valid passport and supporting academic documents.

    • TB test certificate (mandatory for Indian students).

    • Payment of NHS Health Surcharge for medical coverage.


    3. Financial Requirements (2025–2026)

    Note: You must also show funds for one full year of tuition fees (as mentioned on your offer letter).


    4. Step-by-Step Visa Process

    Step 1 Accept your university’s unconditional offer
    Step 2 Receive CAS number and prepare financial documents
    Step 3 Complete online visa application form
    Step 4 Pay IHS (Health Surcharge) and visa fee
    Step 5 Book and attend biometric appointment at VFS centre
    Step 6 Wait for visa decision (typically 3–4 weeks)

    5. Work Rights During and After Study

    • Students can work up to 20 hours per week during term time.

    • Full-time work is allowed during vacations.

    • After graduation, students can apply for a 2-year Post-Study Work Visa (Graduate Route).
