Bulgaria doesn’t have a central application portal. Instead, applications are made directly to individual schools. Sometimes, applications are even made to individual faculties. Requirements vary from school to school and from program to program, so you should check before applying. This is what you’ll generally need to have to apply to programs in Bulgaria:
A completed application form. You’ll be able to find this on your chosenschool’s website
• Your passport
• Four passport-sized photos
• High school grade transcripts
• A letter of motivation
• A letter from your last place of study stating that you’re eligible to study
at any higher education institute in that country
• A medical report giving you a clean bill of health
• Proof of proficiency in the language of instruction. Most international
students choose to study in English. You can find out more about proving your English abilities here
For postgraduate study, you’ll probably also need to submit your CV and one or two letters of recommendation. If you’re admitted, you’ll need to keep the confirmation letter for your visa application. Application deadlines vary from school to school, but you’ll generally need to apply in the spring before you want to start. Once you’ve been admitted, you should start applying for your Bulgarian study visa right away
