    Admission Requirements:

    Before applying to universities in the United Kingdom, it’s important to make sure you meet the academic, language, and visa requirements. Indian Overseas Service (IOS), Vijayawada helps students prepare all necessary documents accurately so that their UK admissions and visa approvals go smoothly.

    1. Academic Requirements

    • For Undergraduate courses: Completion of 12 years of formal education (10 + 2) with good academic scores.

    • For Postgraduate courses: A recognised bachelor’s degree in a related field, usually with 55 % – 65 % minimum.

    • Some programs may require interviews, portfolios, or project submissions.

    2. English Language Requirements
    Most UK universities ask for an English proficiency test.
    Common accepted tests include:

    • IELTS Academic (overall 6.0 – 6.5 band)

    • PTE Academic (overall 55 – 60 score)

    • TOEFL iBT (overall 80 – 90 score)
      Some universities may waive this requirement if you studied in English or scored well in Class 12 English.

    3. Financial Requirements
    You must show sufficient funds to cover tuition fees and living costs.
    Typically, students need to show 9 months of living expenses plus one year of tuition.
    Proof can be shown through:

    • Bank statements (minimum 28 days balance)

    • Education loans or sponsors’ letters

    4. Document Checklist

    • Valid passport

    • Academic transcripts and certificates

    • English test score report (IELTS/PTE/TOEFL)

    • Statement of Purpose (SOP)

    • Reference letters

    • Curriculum Vitae (CV)

    • CAS letter from the university

    • Proof of funds and accommodation details

    5. UK Student Visa (Tier 4) Requirements
    To apply for a visa, you’ll need:

    • CAS number issued by the university

    • Proof of funds and tuition payment

    • Recent passport-sized photograph

    • TB Test Certificate (for Indian applicants)

    • Health Insurance / NHS Surcharge payment receipt
