Work Permit
If you want to work in Romania after finishing your studies, this permit will allow you to work here for 2 years if you are a high-skilled worker. The general work permit is only valid 1 year.
• How can I apply?
EMPLOYER, AT LOCAL AUTHORITIES
The employer submits the necessary files and pays the applicable taxes at the offices of the General Inspectorate for Immigration (IGI). Afterwards, you also have to apply for an extension of your residence permit / long term stay visa.
• How long does it take to get the permit?
30 TO 60 DAYS
After applying for the work permit you will have to wait 30 to 60 days for a decision. You also need a long-term visa after the work permit is issued. Each document takes 30 days to be issued.
• Application requirements
You can apply for the work permit if you have:
▪ a valid residence permit;
▪ an employment contract/promise.
• When can I start applying?
You can start applying for the work permit when you get an offer of employment but no later than 2 months before your visa/ residence permit expires.
• Duration of work permit
2 YEARS
Your work permit will be valid for 2 years if you are a high-skilled worker. The general work permit is only valid 1 year.

10,784 INR You will have to pay 10,784 INR for your work permit.

You will be allowed to work 40 hours per week.
